As I complete my Bachelor of Education and reflect on my practicum and coursework, I recognise the immense growth I have experienced as not only an educator but also as a person. Each block of my program has provided opportunities to develop my teaching philosophy, refine my instructional strategies, and deepen my understanding of the diverse needs of students. Through hands-on practicum experiences, I have gained confidence in classroom management, lesson planning, and fostering meaningful student connections.

A significant aspect of my growth has been the integration of the First Peoples Principles of Learning into my teaching. I have learned that education is holistic, experiential, and deeply connected to relationships and community. Throughout my practicum, I have made an effort to create an inclusive learning environment that values students backgrounds, encourages storytelling, and supports collaborative learning. These principles have shaped how I approach student engagement and have reinforced my belief in the importance of culturally responsive teaching.

Beyond my practicum, my coursework has provided the foundation for my instructional methods, assessment practices, and professional responsibilities. The professional standards have helped with my understanding of ethical teaching, continuous professional learning, and the role of teachers in shaping students academic and personal growth. Collaboration experiences with peers have further enriched my learning, allowing me to exchange ideas, problem-solve, and reflect.

As I transition into my teaching career, I carry with me the lessons, experiences, and values instilled through my Bachelor of Education. I am excited to embark on this journey, knowing that teaching is a continuous process of learning, adapting, and growing alongside my students.
